  • My body took a serious hit this festive season, I’ve gained weight I didn’t plan to gain, I’ll openly admit that 100% definitely not every pound gained was for a ‘bulk’, and I’ll admit I struggled with it!! Mentally it will always be challenging to gain weight, especially when you’ve suffered/suffer with body image issues. My quads are GIANT and this wasn’t what I’d originally wanted when I started lifting but I’m learning to be proud of my body shape ☺️ the point behind this post is ACCEPT who and where you are now. There’s no point dwelling over unintentional weight gain or sessions you’ve missed, all you can do is move forward, onwards and upwards. Regret will only hinder progression, you are perfect as you are, if you decide to adapt yourself in a way where you feel you will create a stronger, happier, healthier you, then do that, with the love and acceptance that you deserve.   • #ad Confession time: Until the girls went back to school, I hadn’t worked out in over a year. I even paid for a gym membership this entire time telling myself when the stars aligned I’d get back in there. Obviously, that never happened. The time is never perfect...for anything. I was full of excuses for why I couldn’t work out from the time to drive, to traffic, to my fear of joining any group classes that involved jumping because of occasional bladder leakage if it wasn’t completely emptied before I worked out. And let me tell you this unless you’re doing yoga - they all involve jumping jacks or even worse...burpees. . . But when you’re trying to work out at home without any fancy equipment, somehow jumping has a way of sneaking into your routine. That’s where @azo.girl can help! Sleep is so important and I have undervalued its contribution to muscle gain for a long time, it is now my aim to get at least 8 hours a night! I am intrigued to see how it’ll impact my sessions, I’ll keep ya updated ♥️

  • Hey guys this is gonna be a LITTLE long but please please please take the time to read this. It’s so important. . . I just want you guys all to know that it’s OKAY to fail, it’s OKAY to not go to the gym every single day. And it’s OKAY to eat what you want as long as you’re happy. I think in today’s day in age everyone is so caught up in what you’re “supposed” to look like, trying to be skinny and fit like these Instagram models, trying to fit in and edit all your pictures to not see your “love handles”. You know what i have to say to that? WHO CARES! It’s so important to be who you are and not give a damn about what people think. Of course you wanna be healthy and be the best version of yourself, but make sure you keep yourself in tact with your character and don’t let social media affect who you are. I ate an entire bag of Tostito scoops with probably a pound of guacamole AND THEN ate half a bag of mini chocolate covered pretzels last night because i wanted to. Do i regret It? Not a chance. I’m just working extra hard today! And i think that’s what people tend to forget, it’s okay to cheat and it’s okay to fall off a little. It just matters how you regroup and kill It the next workout. Be who you are and LOVE yourself. You get one life in this world.. it’s too short to try and make others happy! Being yourself and radiating positive energy will only benefit you in the end!   • 3 weeks into the new year. I started @ 180lbs 🤮 (yes bitch I weighed 180 in the first photo). Literally the biggest I’ve been in my whole life. Down 9lbs. you can see mild changes but I like where it’s going and i won’t stop. Working out is like my life now. I really didn’t want to post the ugly pics but you had to see what I started with cus hella people said I didn’t even need to workout 🤦🏽‍♀️ fuck y’all lol.

  • 💪🏽🤞🏽📖 It's been a journey and I'm still on it!!! I have a long way to go but looking where I came from gives me motivation. I dont do keto or any other diet...I realized for me, if I'm going to lose this and keep it off...it must be a lifestyle change and not just for a certain amount of months. I had to change the way I eat, when I eat and what I eat. The hard part is seeing others drop weight fast but knowing I've been there before. I can drop fast but I will eventually gain it back because I didn't change my lifestyle...just my eating habits for the moment. So I'm doing it the slow and steady way to ensure the next 10 years of my life be fruitful and progressive. We are back on that #NoCompromiseFitness tip and I'm grateful to have such great motivation around me again!
