#Venezuela#ParqueNacionalSierraNevada#travelers#travelandliving#instacool#instamoment#popugram#followers#follower#facebook#free#freedom
The halls are decorated, the choir is singing, let's be festive over the next few weeks to come to celebrate the darkest part of our year.
#AlongTheWay we have misplaced our knowledge what this part of the year really is doing for us, and that winter is kind and really taking us inward.
This is a period of descent and rest, of going within our homes, within ourselves and taking in all that we have been through, all that has cime to pass in this year and is coming to a close now... like nature and the animal kingdom around us, this time of hibernation is so necessary for our tired limbs, our burdened minds, our hectic, stressful and often anxiety driven lifestyles.
Our modern culture teaches avoidance at all cost at this time; yet alcohol, lights, shopping, overworking, over spending, comfort food and consumerism lead the way.
And then there is the natural tug - for all who listen - to go inwards (as nearly all creatures are doing in the cold regions), is strong and the weather is so bitter that people are left feeling winter is hard. For those without burning fires and big festive families, it can be lonely and isolating. Whereas in actual fact winter is kind, she points us in her quiet soft way towards our inner self, towards this annual time of peace and reflection, embracing the darkness and forgiving, accepting and loving embracing goodbye to the past year. Those with the least distractions around them may not feel it, but they are lucky. They can simply follow their own inner guidance. "Winter takes away the distractions, the buzz, and presents us with the perfect time to rest and withdraw into a womb like love, bringing fire & light to our hearth". .. and then, just around the corner the new year will begin again, and like a seed planted deep in the earth, we will all rise with renewed energy once again to dance in the sunlight
Life is a gift <3 a Happy Winter to you all... You are loved.
Currently brainstorming for our upcoming video series about #winepairing with #Singapore#hawkerfood.
Many casual #wine consumers default to aromatic whites and sweet whites when pairing wine with Asian spicy food. It doesn’t have to be that way.
A popular Indian dish in Singapore like #Briyani (the rice dish in the picture) has gently warm, fragrant spices that can align well with the earthiness and medium body of #Bordeaux.
The Chateau Beaumont’s Haut-Médoc 2015 is a value-for-money Bordeaux that drinks well above its average retail price of USD20. It’s a perfect choice for such a pairing, and it’s widely exported to many parts of the world, including Singapore.
Want more pairing ideas? Follow us and we’ll be sure to deliver some fun tips across the next few months!
