NOTE 📌1️⃣: Bottom palm remains facing towards the front of the mat at all times, unless you have tight shoulders, in which case you'll probably angle it out about 45deg. If this transition is often practiced in class and you feel alot of strain on the arms and shoulder, please work on strengthening them (see previous tutorials). Doing it repeatedly with poor form will increase the likelihood of injury.
NOTE 📌2️⃣: Bottom foot stays facing the front until step 4, where you turn it 90deg to face the side into a #Vasisthasana. If you zoom into the picture, you'll see that that foot is placed fully onto the mat to increase stability, however that is dependent on your ankle flexibility. Then it is turned another 45deg out at step 6.
NOTE 📌3️⃣: Drishti. Mostly written in each of the steps. General rule of thumb - gaze at a non-moving point for increased stability. For me, that's usually somewhere on my mat.

I’m definetely not perfect and never will be but that’s totally fine. 🙅🏼♀️
I used to strive for perfection and ultimate control.
Everything I did had to be done perfectly and I wanted to be the best in everything. I believed that being perfect and in control over myself would make me happy and satisfied. But it didn’t - because nothing I did was “perfect enough” for me. The more I tried, the worse I got mentally.
The pas few years, however, I learned that I simply cannot and don’t have to be perfect! I mean I’m still quite a determined person and try to be the best version of myself but I learned that I don’t have to be perfect. (Especially with grades I’ve become that “as long as I pass-person” whereas I used to be that one who had to be the best🤦🏼♀️ but I also start to slowly be more okay with myself/my body) And let me tell you, I feel so much more relaxed and free.🌸

It's true, the quieter you become the more you can here. I've been dealing with sooo many changes, some making space for something better and more aligned, others are forcing me to push myself past my comfort zone and then some to prioritize myself. I need to focus, purify and quiet the mind if I truly want to align with my goals and keep all those distractions outside away from my peace of mind.

Today we sacrificed our grip, heart and lungs
A 45 AMRAP Circuit in icy conditions which unfortunately slowed down the pace and had to be modified - 100m Sprint switched to SB Carry - (its also really hard to pull a sled with no grip on ice 😂)

Wow. Only had time for a quick workout today. I knew I've been busting it with my workouts but this is nuts. It only took me 3 weeks of everyday at the gym to break run a less than 7 minute mile.....yeah not sure about that but still got it in for today. #gotthis#fitness#day20
I still get that gut wrenching feeling when the weight goes up on the scale. My heart still stops if someone tells me I’m looking strong or healthy. The thoughts don’t really disappear completely, so why bother? Why even try to recover?
The guy wrenching feeling is still present sometimes but it doesn’t control my life. I’m not excluded anymore, I don’t scare people away. The cold doesn’t ruin events for me, I have the motivation to enjoy my life. I make the most of the people in my life, I don’t starve, restrict, worry or count.
My body can move and has energy. The guy wrenching feeling doesn’t steal my focus anymore. I form memories now, whereas my past is a big blur. My goals and beliefs have been renewed and life is actually appealing. The disordered thoughts are blocked out now. I can’t hear them over the sound of living.
I stay motivated because that feeling has disappeared in so many aspects of my life and I’m certain it will here too. Overeating, eating out, eating unhealthily, relaxing, skipping the gym. The more weight I gained the better I felt mentally.
I can deal with the occasional gut wrenching feeling in return for a life. My body can deal with that feeling, it can’t deal with the pain of starvation.

I am OBSESSED with Trader Joe’s yet I don’t go there nearly as much as I should for living only 15 minutes from one! Here are SOME of the things I got yesterday - I only spent $33!
👉🏻 Frozen Reduced Guilt Mac & Cheese — while I don’t exactly love the name, I do LOVE this product. 270 cals, 6F/40C/15P for the whole thing!
👉🏻 Frozen Chicken Gyoza Potstickers — these are amazing and also come in veggie and another meat I think. 200 cals, 4.5F/30C/10P for 7 potstickers!
👉🏻 Frozen Cauliflower Gnocci — this stuff is seriously awesome! It’s delicious plain or with some tomato sauce. 330 cals, 8F/53C/5P for the entire bag!
👉🏻 Frozen Edamame — I love this stuff and frozen just makes it easier. I actually haven’t had Trader Joe’s version but I have a feeling it’ll be awesome!🙌🏻 100 cals, 4F/7C/9P for a 1/2 cup without the pods. Great source of vegetable protein!
👉🏻 Frozen Vegetable Fried Rice — I’ve surprisingly never had this before but it’s perfect for lazy nights when I don’t feel like cooking. Will probably pair with chicken or some other lean meat for a perfect meal. 210 cals, 1.5F/42C/5P for 1 cup cooked.
👉🏻 Sweet Apple Chicken Sausages — haven’t tried these but have tried a million other brands of sweet apple chicken sausages (I love that flavor!). I always pair sausage with peppers and onions. One of my fav meals! 120 cals, 6F/7C/11P for one link!
👉🏻 Garlic & Herb Pizza Dough — haven’t tried this before but I’m HYPED about it (AND it was only $1.29!!) 140 cals, 2F/26C/4P for 2oz of dough.
👉🏻 Lite Shredded Mozzarella — this is the BEST low-fat cheese ever. Still not over the macros and taste. Highly recommend this stuff if you’re a cheese lover like me! 45 cals, 3F/0C/5P for 1 oz.
👉🏻 Chocolatey Coated Chocolate Chip Dunkers — these things are freakin amazing and the bottoms are coated in chocolate🤤 So. Good. 190 cals, 9F/25C/2P for 2 cookies!

It's new to start a competition with PR's! Easy 107 snatch as a first attempt last saturday.
Clean & Jerk is another story, I did not get a total because all of my lifts were disapproved by the judges. Will keep you guys posted!

27 ans aujourd’hui, c’est à 15h05 exactement que j’ai pris ma première bouffée d’oxygène et que je suis entré dans le cercle prisé des vivants.
C’est la première fois que j’annonce mon anniversaire sur les réseaux. Je n’avais pas coutume de le faire car j’avais le sentiment que ‘’forcer’’ les gens à me le souhaiter en me disant tacitement ‘’Coucou je suis là’’ n’était qu’un moyen de nourrir mon égo qui est déjà suffisamment gourmé. Aujourd’hui, si j’en fais le parti pris d’en parler c’est que je vous sais plus attentif.
A cette occasion, j’en profite pour vous faire passer un message, non pas que je me considère comme un messie mais je pense que mon parcours et mon histoire avec tous les messages que je reçois en témoignant servent à nourrir ces mêmes corps affaiblis.
Je n’ai aucune prétention d’en avoir mais si sourire à la vie aide le plus grand nombre à avancer, j’en suis ravi.
Le corps n’est qu’un véhicule, vous serez plus lents que certains j’en conviens, vous ne jouirez plus vos vies comme avant mais tant que vos têtes fonctionnent, vous pourrez toujours rêver et si vous baissez les bras, je continuerai ma positivité.
Je ne laisserai aucunes des âmes écorchées sur ma route. Ensemble , on va plus loin et c’est par mon histoire que j’aspire à fédérer un maximum de personne pour donner du poids à nos causes.
Il est plus facile de porter à plusieurs une peine trop lourde. Admettez vos faiblesses et apprenez que l’entraide et le partage sont l’avenir de l’espèce.
Mon plus beau cadeau aujourd’hui, serait de vous voir partager mon histoire, si j’en suis là, c’est en partie grâce à vous, je vous en remercie et sachez ma reconnaissance impérissable envers votre soutien.
J’espère qu’un jour, j’aiderais de manière plus concrète nos causes.
