Day 3 in our new home. The window shown here is just one in our rental house. If you were to look through from the other side you would see a myriad of colors. My emotions have been quite similar. With knots of nervousness in my tummy I am looking to find the bright colors of my new surroundings. I’ve stayed indoors the past few days due to not feeling 100% plus we sold our car so we have no vehicle! Today the sun is shining. It’s clear blue skies and Denver awaits me. Hoping everyone has a great day. Peace #denvercolorado#rentingavictorian#southwestlife#steppingoutsidethebox#newadventures
Greetings, ALL!! I hope you’re enjoying this fabulous week long limbo of time between Xmas & New Years. I find it’s the PERFECT time to reflect on the year that just past, the positives & negatives, what worked & what didn’t, and most importantly... it’s a time to ask myself, where do I want to go from here? •
I’m learning it’s ok to say, “I have no idea!” and that I don’t need to be following a map to continue to move forward. As long as I’m willing to look at the GOOD & the BAD, (& the UGLY?! Teehee 😜), rightfully take accountability for my own shit, and let go of the things that aren’t mine to hold onto, I know no matter which way I go, I’ll be heading in the right direction.
One of my main goals for 2019 is to get back to #steppingoutsidethebox !! I think one of the biggest misconceptions about purchasing from small businesses & artists, is that once you receive your piece, you’re confined to do with it only what the artist intended it for...WRONG! Now I can’t speak for others, this is purely my own opinion... for ME it’s the exact opposite! If you can find multiple purposes for a purchase made from my shop, THATS AWESOME!! If you want to take a pair of scissors to a piece you purchased from me, or dye it, or alter it in some way, or wear it in the exact opposite way it was intended to be worn.... fucking go for it!! Personal style and innovation is a form of self expression. It’s a beautiful thing and something I’d never want to censor because of my own ego.
Pictured here is a handful of works by some of my favorite artists who’s pieces I’ve been able to translate into my everyday life through multipurpose use. Be sure to tap for tags!!
ALSO, a monthly GIVEAWAY will be COMING SOON!! I still need to figure out the details but it is definitely in the works!! More info to come!!
Gosh, I miss #Japan so much! I remember thinking that I missed America, but that wasn’t it haha; I missed my cats. 😹
I would go hiking even though my body was physically in pain, and pushed myself daily to strive to be better than anything I thought that I had ever been before. We really don’t know a damn thing being human. Literally nothing; but it’s once you realize, that you can always learn something new, then you’re beyond human. You’re stepping into a more magnificent energy field.
Healing in Japan for me was like healing on a Planet, that I actually understood more so than usual. I was treated more like a person who lived in Japan, than a silly “GaiJin” 😹. I mean there is racism everywhere, and it’s purely ignorance being spoon fed. Instead, of just accepting an energy for the flow, and not just a meaningless structure that only will decay and show how we are the same inside.
Division is so #ridiculous; but it seems to be a good tactic, because once you divide a #consciousness you weaken it. By doing that you have the upper hand... how do humans not get that yet? Dividing each other based on meaningless bullshit, only means that now you’re incredibly ignorant to what’s actually going on and who’s really running the show. Hate is in propaganda for a reason. 💡
Anyway, so I’m not big on clubs and things like that usually, however I was living in Japan. A dream I made a reality... somehow? I would be lying if I said that I didn’t love to dance, so yeah... these things tend to happen when trying to step outside your own comfort zone.
To be fair my Japanese wasn’t awful, because I taught myself at the age of 12; but unless you’re actually Japanese... it’s so different lol 😹. At least my accent was down, except when I’m laughing lol. *high-fives self* #secretvictory
So this Japanese kid was drunk and seemed a bit down honestly. So building people up is kind of what I want to live for 😻
Never impress. Always ✨inspire✨ 💖

I’m being inspire by @zeezsa today and rolling out a never before seen leopard print top into my work clothes rotation. In other news it apparently makes my boobs look huge 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ #workwear#steppingoutsidethebox
22 THINGS BEFORE 22
Okay I’m trying something new for my birthday this year, well lots of new things;)
From now through December I would like to try 22 things I’ve never done before.
I realize that this year (especially the last few months) I’ve already done so many things I wanted to do but hadn’t yet.
I would like to kick it into high gear though and I need your help.
What is something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t done yet?
What is something you have done that you don’t think many people have done?
I’d love to hear your ideas! If Ive done it before I’ll tell u :) if I haven’t then I might just add it to my list.
Keep in mind, this is not my life’s bucket list. This is for the next 6 weeks or so.
My birthday is on December 5th and whether I do it all before that or during the month of December doesn’t matter.
So far I have:
1. See a movie in theater alone
2. Hike to the beach down sycamore
3. Ride a beach cruiser bike
4. Go a full day intentionally without social media
5. Do a sound bath meditation in person
6. Visit the peace labyrinth in LA or similar
7. Food tour
8. Make bread from scratch (not banana but like doughy)
9. Make my own comic strip
10. Let someone order for me at a restaurant where I’d normally get the same thing
11. Squash grapes w my feet
Thank you to my friend @sensei_ichi for inspiring me with this idea at the beginning of the year
I may have stolen some of these from your Instagram.
Leave your ideas below!⬇️🙏🏻❤️
