  • Fitness is way more fun with friends 😂. 5 sets of 4 at 235lbs . . . . 🤣This is what happens when I get other people involved with my videos (thank you @elizabeth.pelcastre for taping, and thanks @sam.russell11 and @chris_d_bull for letting me tape with you in the back). I promise I know how to bail safely if I need to, this wasn't a weight that was super heavy (although it was for sure my worst set and I wasn't able to keep my best form), and don't get mad at my friend. He does this kind of stuff to me regularly, and I'm used to it although I was caught off guard this time lol.

I wanted to just stop and try another day. In my personal life things are Not all sunshine and rainbows. Things have been tough. & then I thought of Rocky. Yes Rocky Balboa & the speech he gave to his son.👨‍👦 . . “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. Today after sets of 135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 5, 275 x 5, 315 x 5, 365 x 3, and 405 x 3, I hit a top set of 425lbs x 1 with a little left in the tank 🏋🏽‍♂️ #squatgains #powerlifter #ocbpro #bodybuilder #powerbuilder #gains

Of course I still have a ton of insecurities & a ton of work to do but every day is a new challenge & that kind of mindset is priceless.   • I've seen so many posts recently around the build up to Christmas like "HOW TO GET BACK ON TRACK" "HOW TO STAY ON TRACK OVER CHRISTMAS" Fad diets are friggin everywhere right now so let's stop right there with all the BS! Stop denying yourself what you want! --- We are all on our own fitness journeys and that's exactly what they are a JOURNEY FOR LIFE! There are no quick fixes, no flat tummy teas, no build a booty in a week no miracle workers! This is your journey and you decide on the speed you take it! Sometimes you smash out 5/6 sessions in a week and feel friggin incredible for it! Sometimes you eat so on point Chicken, rice, kale, super juice smoothies and feel amazing! Then other times you only make it to the gym once that week because that's just life and you treat yourself to chocolate, crisps and takeaways! But just remember both are absolutely fine your aloud to enjoy yourself and go off track now and again it's going to happen! If you want something that much you will always find your way back! --- It's normal to enjoy "JUNK" and it's also normal to enjoy a good ol smoothie! So just enjoy the festive period however you wish go out with your loved ones, eat that burger you've been craving and let your hair down because the gym will always be there for you whenever your free for a sesh!! 💗

  • 💎 ITS FINALLY FRIDAYYYY 💎 . . Leg day was so hard yesterday 😭 Maxing out on deadlifts the other day seemed like a good idea at the time but today did not feel so hot lol. But I carried on and finished all 10 sets at 190lb for half and 180lb for half 🙌🏾 So proud of that! I even completed my squats at a higher weight then normal, but I’m saving that video for #squatsaturday 👀 The 🍑 pump is real, as it has been the past couple weeks and I am FEELIN IT OKURRRRR . Exercise of the day: Wall Sit for 30s to Prisoner Squat Jumps . Re-starting a new habit is almost as hard as starting fresh to me because you have expectations for how it actually went! It was so easy to do before and now it all seems so hard. But that’s why I’m tightening my schedule and sticking to my macros. I need to lose some weight gained from all the stress & stress eating I’ve done for the last half of this year . Why isn’t this super discouraging? I’ve come so far since I started last November and I’m ready to get back to how I was in June 🤩 I’m my own body goals and I know it’s achievable. Sure, I have to skip the easy cafe meals at work and late night snacking with my friends, but my goals are bigger than temporary happiness 💗 .
