I’d skip so many training days and use the excuse of ‘I’ll make it up tomorrow’. ——————————————————————————— If you have specific goals, like I do, to be consistent with putting in the work.   • TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY . Posing is a bit different but I think you can see the progress. Picture on the left is from last week, picture on the right is from December 2016, after over a year into weightlifting. In the left picture I weigh roughly 155-160lbs and in the picture on the right I was probably 135-140lbs. You can clearly see my stomach isn’t as tight and flat but that’s because I’ve been building muscle over the past couple years.. . One thing I can not stress enough, if you want to put on muscle, the scale is going to go up and so is your body fat %!!!! You cannot gain muscle without gaining fat as well . Proud of the booty gains & excited to keep on building this body ✨

  • I don’t normally post these kind of pictures. I’m a pretty conservative person. Giant sweaters, baggy clothes, no makeup, hair in a bun is my look lmao 🤪 But there was something about this picture that made me feel strong and feminine, confident not conceded, sexy but not trashy, and ultimately proud. Proud of the work I’ve put in my entire life to become the person I am today both inside and out. It’s shots like these that continue to light my fire to keep striving to live my overall best life, and not give a fuck about other people’s opinions along the way♥️ . So I said fuck it!   • Okay ya’ll (yes, I’m going to start dropping “ya’ll”s on you even though I’m from the north - gasp!), I’m going to get real with you right now. Some of you know that I tore a ligament in my foot in the beginning of November during a half marathon. The race was hard enough and then at the last quarter mile I felt a big ole pop in my left foot. A few days later I found out I had a torn fascia ligament. I was in a boot for about 6 weeks and still have to wear a boot to bed so it heals correctly. It was a major bummer. After a month of minimal exercise I started to reeeeally feel the physical and mental effects of not working out. I just started getting back into my regular exercise routine though (yay!!) and I can TOTALLY feel it. My legs feel the weakest they ever have and my cardiovascular system is telling me that burpees make me want to throw up now 😂 🤷‍♀️ I haven’t gotten back into running yet - probably a few more weeks before that - but I can tell you I am so excited for that first run! What I’m getting at is that I think we all need to give ourselves a little grace every once in a while. Things happen and we may fall off the workout wagon for a bit. That’s not what matters. What matters is what you do afterwards. Besides her TMJ and neck issues she came in complaining about 😫Anterior hip and knee pain. again a lot of the issues stem from her beating up her body while performing the obstacle from #mtv #mtvthechallenge show were she had to jump of helicopters 🚁 and run threw obstacles. Also, she travels a lot for work which requires her to sit a lot. 👉This sitting posture makes her hip muscles and inner thigh muscles tight. Because she crosses her legs a lot.   • The picture on the left is from 3 years ago 👉🏼 the picture on the right is from 1 week ago. Trey and I went for a walk and decided to take some pictures because 1) I need to get out of my comfort zone and 2) the business I want to start (online fitness trainer) pretty much requires being on camera, so I need to get comfortable. Well, I completely tore myself apart when I saw the pictures. So much so that it put me in a horrible mood and I refused to post them. To make matters worse, I decided to scroll through my personal feed to compare and came across all of my “ripped” pictures. The thoughts I had toward myself as I scrolled were not kind, and unfortunately/sadly, my first thought when doing this side-by-side was it’s going to take so long to get back to that, I may as well starve myself. 😞🤦🏻‍♀️😔 No, Michelle. Just, no. That is NOT the answer. And I know with everything in me that it isn’t. #edwarrior I was going to write this whole post about how we should love our body at every stage, and we TOTALLY should!!! But, the more I looked at that picture the more I realized, I don’t want to be that girl again. I’m thankful for her because she’s part of who I am, but I don’t want to go back to that. That girl found her happiness and worth in abs, likes, and comments. And guess what happened when she lost those things? You guessed it, she lost her “happiness”. So while I obviously do want to get to a higher level of fitness, I don’t want to be where I was. Sure I was leaner and had more definition, but my mind was not strong. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was struggling. I FELT happy because I was in the best shape of my life (🙄) and I was getting recognized for it- people seemed to like me more. But it was based on superficiality. And as we all know, that’s fleeting. Don’t get me wrong. There isn’t anything wrong with having muscle and/or being toned, but if your mindset is weak, it doesn’t mean a thing. I want to be strong in my mind, body, and spirit- not just my body. I don’t want to find my happiness in fleeting, superficial ways. I want to find TRUE happiness that isn’t based on the way I look or the recognition I get (cont. in comments 🙈)

  • When people ask me if I’m ready to get/ have my body back... No, because I never lost it. # Advertisements for “get your pre baby body back” actually drive me a bit crazy. Our bodies have always been ours and are temporarily just being shared. I understand the want to lose the “baby weight” and fit in pre pregnancy clothes but just striving for that body isn’t the goal I would have in mind. Feeling confident, strong, energized, not peeing oneself and watching your body go through another delicate change are adequate goals. Coaching females to embrace the changes and be patient with the process are amongst my goals as a coach. # So here’s what I am ready for: 1. To hold this baby in my arms for the first time. 2. For labor. 3. To know if we have a he or a she. 4. To heal my body from the demands it’s been going through. 5. To simply not be pregnant. In all honestly being pregnant isn’t my favorite. I love the feeling of growing another human but common things like indigestion, bloating, nausea, food aversions, fatigue, mood swings, impatience hit me hard. So cheers 🥂 to the last month of pregnancy!! And maybe even a bit less 🤰
