Movement doesn’t have to be painful to provide health benefits. This phrase is so common in the fitness arena and can be very misleading. When we step out of our comfort zone in any area of life there is a good chance we will experience some kind of growth. This can be true in fitness as well. But discomfort and pain are not the same thing. Pain is our bodies way of telling us something is wrong. It’s important to learn the difference between discomfort in pain in our own bodies so we know when to rest and when we can keep going.
Keep in mind that you can engage in movement without discomfort as well and still receive health benefits. Gentle movement is still movement and contributes positively to mental health, reducing stress, improving focus, and preventing things such as osteoporosis.
There is no superiority complex when it comes to movement either. Someone who engages in vigorous workouts is not superior to anyone who engages in gentle movement or no movement at all. Let’s support individuals taking care of themselves the way they need to. Let’s stop encouraging this idea of pain and rigidity when it comes to health.
I took this last year after returning from Florida after my Godmothers’ passing! 1.22.18 — I was hurting... but still smiling... this morning... I buried something that happened to me yesterday.... I am hurt... but I still press FORWARD.... it’s a CHOICE YOU KNOW? I have reckoned that for my life.... even on today... that for me.... PAIN HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY PROPELLER.... and I encourage you to don’t let it paralyze you IG! Let it take your life to NEW LEVELS... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #livelifeonpurpose#onelove#duchess#thisishowweovercome#perspective#nopainnogain#itstrue 🎯🎯🎯

Supplement Sunday (If you know more about this then I do or I’m wrong on anything please comment)
I use @xtend BCAAs, Sugar free, carb free they also contain electrolytes and L-Glutamine (good for the gut and ibs)
Why do I take this?
I’m not a supplement wiz but basically when you cut calories your body burns fat and also protein (lean tissue)
BCAAs allow the body to hold on to muscle and well as grow during a deficit by providing essential amino acids; leucine, isoleucine and valine.
Essential meaning the body doesn’t produce these, we get them from food.
This way you can burn fat but not lose the gains your making in the gym.
I take this before a workout and after. 🌟🌟🌟
