But here’s the kicker, for our March trip, I’m flying solo with both kids GASP!! Hubs has a crazy work schedule for the next few months so won’t be able to join. Fortunately, I’ll be visiting family so we will have lots of helping hands once we land 🙌🏻
Now I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified to travel on my own with the kids! I mean who will carry all the luggage 🤣

Bundling up with family just reminds me how blessed we are to have ABLE bodies to dress & WARM things to wear. Walking around Seattle with my bundled up fam also reminds me of how many go without...
One of the goals we are working toward is being WILDLY generous... with our home, with our time, with our money. We want to give even more in times when we feel like we have less. We might not have a seven figure business (yet...😋) & we still have a ways to go to be where we would like to be but we CERTAINLY have more than enough to share...
On top of our usual ten percent, we are upping our financial giving this year but also our time... Volunteering each week at our favorite organizations, collecting all the extra blankets, food & clothing in our home to pass on to those who need it more, & giving away as many smiles as we can as often as possible!! (( Sounds corny but a genuine smile can go a LONG way. ))
So many of us have so much more than we need. THIS ((and, really, every)) time of year, it’s especially important that we serve those who are in a rough spot. The winter months can feel so so bleak.
Talk to your local food bank & gospel missions. Keep warm blankets & care packages in the back of your car. Smile to those you run into on the street. You never know what ripple effect you might make. But, it’s so worth finding out. ✨

Расскажу конкретно, что меня просто вывело из себя. Пришли в отель(абонемент в бассейн/зал и доступ к инфраструктуре). Направились на детскую площадку.
Сейчас сезон - туристов с детьми тьма. И было там 5 русских девочек, 2 из которых подошли к нам, изначально спросить про наших девочек.
Итак, за 3 минуты разговора я узнала:
•как их зовут + возраст
•с кем приехали + где конкретно живут
•режим их дня
•Какие у них домашние животные
•где они живут в России (город, улица дом)
И ещё КУЧУ личной инфо!!!
Внимание вопрос! Почему они всё это рассказали тётеньке, которую видят в первый раз?
Думаю, ответ вы знаете - не научили/упустили/забыли.
Не стоит недооценивать различного вида мошенников, воров или кого похуже. Кто угодно может оказаться кем угодно. Защищайте своих детей, учите их защищать себя и свою семью...🙏🏼

It’s long overdue...but y’all know I love letters so I wrote my first one to Miss Malia and I’m sharing it on the blog today. Eternally grateful to this girl for taking it easy on me when I became a mommy of two. Malia is the most magical, dreamy baby and I feel connected to her in such a special way. I questioned and actually doubted I would feel the same bond with Malia as I have with Lo. Now, it seems ridiculous, almost embarrassing to even type that - but I’m sharing it because it’s an honest feeling I had and maybe you’re reading this with similar feelings and can relate in some way. Unsere Nacht war nicht so erholsam, Lea war heute Nacht 2 Stunden wach.
Ich hatte Halsschmerzen , welche jetzt zum Glück wieder verschwunden sind, nachdem ich mir dann heute Nacht im Halbschlaf eine Halstablette gelutscht habe.💊
Nele habe ich heute nicht in die KiTa gebracht, da ich heute morgen einfach zu müde gewesen bin. 😴

Midwife appointment this week and baby girl had a great checkup! We used the fetalscope to hear baby’s heartbeat 💗 It’s an old school way to hear the heartbeat instead of the Doppler, we’re able to use it effectively now that baby girl is bigger.
I’m 33 weeks Friday. Gained 6 # in two weeks 😊 hopefully just a pound a week or less going forward. Not many huge growth spurts expected at this point.
We checked my fundal height which is measured from the top of the pubic bone to the top of my belly. It’s measurement indicates if baby is on target for gestation. She’s in the proper range so that’s great news, sometimes you’ll hear if a momma is measuring she’s or behind based on the fundal height.
Baby girl is head down which is a relief and hopefully she stays that way. She’s kicking all the time! I asked if there’s a thing as too much kicking and @courtney_mcmillian said I feel it more this pregnancy 🤰 because my uterus is thinner from being pregnant before with Honor.
Next appointment is in 2 weeks and once we hit 36 weeks I go in weekly. Feeling optimistic and praying everyday for a healthy, happy baby. Can’t wait to meet her in March!! #33weekspregnant#momoftwogirls#thisismotherhood#rawmotherhood#thirdtrimester#fitpregnancyjourney#pregnancydiary
When I joined my first challenge group after having my first child I thought I would do it for a few weeks to loose some weight and then I would be done. I have NEVER liked working out. I walked every mile we ever had to do in gym class 🙄, I skipped warm ups during my college tennis career and I occasionally went to the gym in college but never really stayed consistent. I had no idea how much this community would change my life.
After having my second baby I couldn’t wait to start to workout out again. In my first picture I am 6 weeks postpartum and I hadn’t worked out in months. I saw real results after just one month. Through the support and guidance of this amazing community I have been able to stay consistent and dedicated. I’ve never felt better and look forward to sharing my results after my next 6 week program. Thanks @pamela.busarello for bringing me into this amazing community and inspiring me to share my journey with others.

I got tired of being tired. I got tired of eating things I know were not good for me. I just got tired of it all.🙁 I saw my friend doing this accountability group thing. I watched them for two months. Then they asked me to join them. I knew I needed to do something new since what I was doing was obviously not working.🤷♀️
Little did I know how much my life was going to change. These little at home workouts gave me new friends. 😉 Gave me an easy way to workout. It totally changed my nutrition plan. It set me on a new course.😊 .
One of my favorite songs is Called Me Higher by All Sons and Daughters. One of the lyrics says "I could just stay, I could just stay right here and never let you change me, change me from the inside" That really applies to the fitness thing. God used it to change me from the inside out and is still using it to change me.🤩

“I like big buns and I cannot lie!!!”
No, seriously… these buns are THE BOMB!!! My family loves them! It has been several years since I have been able to make them. That’s because they take 3-5 hours to rise. And THAT is why I love them even more! Why?
It’s actually what these buns REPRESENT. Before being able to work as a coach from home, I was never home during the day around 12:00 to prepare them to rise in time for supper. I would get home around 3:30 and it would be too late. .
It might sound really silly, but being able to make these buns tonight for dinner means FREEDOM! Freedom to make my own hours and make some buns at noon!!! 😂
Freedom looks like so many different things to everyone, but this is just one example of how I am getting to live life according to MY calling and MY dreams, instead of working for someone else’s. I get to plan my days according to MY priorities… Jesus, family and empowering women. 🥰

It also makes me reflect back to how our lives have changed in 10 years.
In April of 2008, I gave birth to my 2nd daughter, Paige.
Just 4 months later, we left our family & friends when we moved from our small apartment in Queens, NY to a rented home in Indianapolis, Indiana.
We were there just under 2 years, then moved again when the girls were
2 & 4 into our 1st house in Columbus, Ohio.
Then exactly 2 years later, a job opportunity took us to Cincinnati, Ohio when the girls were 4 & 6.
3 moves in 4 years!
Brian and I both lived in the same house until we graduated college!
BESIDES that my identity has changed these past 10 years!! In 2008:
I was a tired, 'single parent' of an infant & toddler.
I was a TV addict, night owl and nighttime snacker.
I hated to cook, ate a lot of processed food.
I had frequent migraines and digestion issues.
I was shy, indecisive and unorganized.
I hated reading.
I had only run up to a 5K.
I was NOT a goal setter.
Now in 2018:
I am an energized, wife & mom of a pre-teen & teenager 😬
I watch one ☝🏻 TV show religiously (Survivor), am a morning person and Dinner & Done✅
I enjoy making simple, whole food, healthy recipes.
I have no more migraines and have a healthier gut.
I am confident, more decisive and create habits & systems in my routine.
I read one personal development book each month.
I am a #BAMR and completed 2 marathons at the age of 44.
I set new goals every 3 months.
WHY do I share this?
Because, if I can change so can you!
It starts with a decision then a belief.
A belief in yourself.
Your thoughts> become your actions > become your habits.
Your habits shape your identity.

The photo on the left was taken when Ella was a baby and right around the time when I decided to stay home with her; returning to work gave me way too much anxiety and I couldn’t stand the thought of Ella going to daycare. .
At this time Justin was working long hours with travel. I struggled the first year with postpartum depression and felt so lonely. I stopped taking care of myself, I would shower but I wouldn’t take the time to do my hair and rarely wore markup. I had zero desire to do anything but sit around the house for days! I longed for friendships or to be part of a community; I tried mom groups but I felt like I didn’t belong. .
Fast forward to my second postpartum journey, insert coaching into my life and that’s the photo on the right! A happy mom who now has the desire and energy to finally take care of herself! I rarely wear my hair up because I personally can’t stand it, I find the time to do my hair and makeup. I’ve gained the confidence I never knew existed and I have friends I chat with daily. .
Someone just pinch me because I can’t believe this is my job! I get paid to work on my own health and fitness, personal development, and chat with girls like myself all day long. I never had this freedom or fun in the corporate world and I definitely never earned tropical trips! .

You can squeeze it in early morning, during nap time, while your kids complain about that amazing dinner you just made, and are begging for chicken nuggets! Take yourself to the garage or your living room and rock it for 20 minutes! Then watch the changes take place! 💪🏼 - 20 minutes of butt kicking, not a second wasted, sweaty awesomeness! Tonight I get to share my story to over a 100 people. My story of how I went from always exhausted, moody, stressed out, sugar addicted, unhealthy and not able to lose the baby weight.
To a mom and wife who has all day energy, sleeps like a husband, hasn't been sick in 2 years, finds joy every day, handles the stress life brings like a BOSS, no longer craves sugar 24/7 and has lost over 35lbs 🙌💃 Forever thankful for saying YES and taking control over my health and life!!

I am floored by this note my girl received today.
But it’s true.
My daughter may be the first friend this sweet girl had.
Last year was a struggle for her and I asked my darling to be kind. I also told her parents that their daughter had a friend in my daughter.
Today the girls run and play with normal kiddo excitement. I never thought twice of that conversation. .
And now, a year later, she remembers that moment.
I asked my girls what would have happened had they not been kind. .
Of course we will never know, but my kids guessed that she could have switched schools and been sadder than she was. Then.
Today, my girls and this family adore each other. Genuinely. .
This young lady has many friends as far as I know. .
I am floored by this note today. We chose kindness, as family. And the impact was real... even at age 7 and 8.
Lesson learned 1000x over.

We found out we were having a second girl on Christmas 2 years ago. The immediate reaction was to be a little bummed. No boy for us...we. are. done. And immediately, I realized that I was selfish to want a boy so bad, because now Scarlett has a forever side kick. Someone to talk to about first kisses, boyfriends, and all the other stuff she might not tell a brother (or her mother!) Although I hope they both tell me everything! I’ll practice by being open with them. ⠀
Sometimes similar, and yet frequently so different. As much as Vivienne is a vocally independent do-it-yourself-er, she wants to do everything her sister does...with her. She won’t give me a hug, kiss, or ‘I love you’ for no reason, but happily loves on her sister. Scarlett on the other hand, is more dependent and will incessantly tell me over and over again that she loves me. She has become really good and puckering her lips! They will learn so much from one another, maybe even more because of their differences. ⠀
What do you see your kids learning from each other? I’m especially interest if you have kids older than mine... what lies ahead?
When it is time to start (wean) baby on to food, what are your options? With my first I went down the traditional route of purées and mush, which to be honest was an absolute chore, especially if my laborious homemade food ended up on the floor! 😒
With my second I decided to try baby led weaning. The main reason being that Zeyna completely rejected the mush! Let me tell you mama’s it was one of the best decisions. BLW is basically encouraging your child to eat the natural way of chewing (or gnawing with their gums) before they swallow, as opposed to learning how to swallow before you chew as is the case with purées. You just hand them a piece of food and let them chew/gnaw at it...if they like they’ll eat it, if not then they won’t. There are certain ‘guidelines’ that you need to follow in order to prevent them from choking and obviously appropriate foods for their age. With Zeyna I started her off with half a slice of lightly toasted and buttered whole wheat toast, crumpets, bananas, avocado. Basically food she could hold and gnaw at! It went down a treat and was no more extra work than making my own breakfast. No more weird food combos, boiling, steaming, food processors, ice cube trays, you get the idea! 😉
As she started on real food from the beginning, she’s a confident self feeder and from an early age learnt how to eat all foods, even smaller foods like peanuts and grapes without choking...she would always chew first! .
A few handy tips:
1. Let baby eat dry foods like toast on a washable/wipeable blanket on the floor, as they like to throw and eat! 🤦♀️
2. Use a bib that catches the food, I like the silicone ones from @oxotot
3. Give baby what you are eating minus the salt/sugar! Prepare the food, take out for baby add salt, seasonings after! .

My favourite part about being a mom is holding a baby on my chest, feeling my girls completely at ease and feeling so secure and safe, precious moments that I have with both of my girls, I never listen to anyone who tells me I am spoiling my girls by always holding them or letting them sleep on me or whatever, these moments are not for ever and are so short and I plan on holding onto all my cuddles for as long as I can, I live with no regrets about how long I held tori for or anything, and I Def have none wit aria either, this time is short. Social media perception vs REALITY! I talked with my amazing women in my fitness bootcamp this morning about how social media can make things seem easy and beautiful❤
I can strategically pose for a great pic in workout gear, which I definitely do (I don't want to show sweaty selfies everyday!), but that is NOT my REALITY...especially today!
Working on your health and fitness is HARD! And it doesn't just get easy one day. It may seem more routine or more enjoyable, but it's still hard. It's meant to be! I NEED to push and challenge my body daily to keep it healthy.
The photo on the left was before I worked out and the one on the right was when I was trying to hold my $ #![ together immediately after the workout. I struggled. I paused. I took breaks. But I'll do it a little better tomorrow and be a little stronger for it💪

I never stop reflecting on who I was 7 years ago. I was that woman that complained about lack of motivation. A woman that chose every excuse in the book as to why I didn’t want to start my journey. Finances, time, space, etc...you name it they were all covering up my fear to begin.
My mindset kept me obese with zero energy to be a full time mom. This lifestyle has not only helped me get healthier and add years to my life but it improved my relationship with my husband, my kids and most importantly myself.
I learned to love myself instead of being my worst enemy. I learned to accept that I had to grow a new mindset to be able to deal with defeat when it presented itself and to keep on going none the less.
Most importantly, I’m a mom of two beautiful girls who will be facing life’s trials and tribulations and as parents we must lead from the front. I never wanted to duplicate the old me in my girls. Instead I want them to be better than me and succeed but I know I have to lead the way first and I will!
You are worth it. Stop making excuses as to why you can’t start your journey today!! If I can, honestly, anyone can!

After nearly 3 weeks of only walking the dog due to being sick, I decided to try some new to me workout routines to see if I should include them in my 2019 Master Workout Calendar (yes, I am putting together a calendar for the entire year with NO repeat workouts!). BOD literally has HUNDREDS of workouts so I'm trying to narrow it down.
I tried segments of multiple workouts... and here's what I learned... 1. If your workout includes dancing, NOPE.
2. If your workout requires rhythm, the answer is NOPE.
3. If your workout makes me feel like you're trying to lead an exercise class while stifling your inner dance instructor, NOPE.
Bless you dance people...but I am not one of you.
So... if you're looking for a supportive group that includes a year worth of fat burning, muscle building NON DANCE workouts, hit me up!
We all have the POWER already inside of us to push ourselves to our next level of the best version of us.
I have legit been SORE all week with this new journey. I am blown away with how my body is changing in 20 minutes a day.

A lot of times we act like we like there is no way out of our circumstance and when given a way out we either cling to our existing excuses or make up new ones. 💥 Take personal responsibility for your own life. No one is coming to save you and even if they do, you still have to participate in your rescue. You have to do SOMETHING. ⠀

💥 Know yourself. If you know sugar is your kryptonite, get it OUT of your house. Don't set yourself up for failure.
