  • Timing is everything — and yet allowing things to happen when they naturally do can be such a challenge. We’re often running around in this pressure cooker, looking for ways to be quicker and more efficient — we’re looking for ways to “save” time. We’re multi-tasking, we’re using services, we’re cutting corners. But we can’t outsource our emotional experiences. We have to show up for them and we have to find a way to be okay with knowing that sometimes things don’t happen on our preferred timeline. Tools like therapy are hugely beneficial in helping us identify patterns, cultivate coping skills, and learn how to be kinder to ourselves — but we can’t rush our healing. Besides, it’s often in the stickiest moments where we grow and learn the most about our own resilience. For anyone who’s out there struggling, keep going, we see you and promise that eventually the feelings will pass. #regram @cosmicchristine

You spend most of your time devoted to paying off a mortgage rather than enjoying life. 2. You judge your success by the car you drive, the suburb you live in, and the size of the house you own. 3. You work in a job you don’t enjoy, thinking the money you earn will offset the misery of working in a job or career you are not passionate about. 4. You think that by taking medications your ills will be cured. 5. You watch the news on television and think this is the truth. 6.  You conform with the status quo and never question why things are done. 7.
