Hey you, please pause and be proud of yourself; for trying, for growing, for failing, for starting over, for continuing on. I used to think too that I had to wait to be proud of myself until I accomplished the task or achieved the goal. But since I’ve been celebrating and honoring the whole process, I’ve been so much happier. .
So in case no one has told you lately, well, I’m proud of you. Even if I don’t actually know you, I’m sure if you talked to me for 5 minutes about what you’re doing - I could find a good reason to be proud of you too ⭐️💛 .

2018 was definitely a year of challenges, dispelling old beliefs and patterns, removing that which no longer serves us, and making space for new magic to take place. For many of us it was like a rug was pulled out from under us. A lot of harsh truths had to be faced, a lot of shadows aspects of us deeply buried in the recesses of our psyches got a big a torch light shun on them and we had to look at our selves in ways we had never seen before.⠀
For most this was an opportunity to transcend to new ways of being, while other remained trapped in their old loops. To stop living in the land of potential and drop into the present. ⠀
Mama Bali has been a big teacher for me this trip in surrendering. Some people think it’s holding on that makes us strong, but sometimes really it in the LETTING GO.. ⠀
My life may not be where I thought it would be a year ago. But I’m also in a whole new exciting place of new beginnings. ⠀
You too may be currently moving through feelings of hopelessness, frustration, and even a little bitterness. Or maybe someone hurt you so deeply that you don’t know if you can trust anyone ever again, so you feel angry, defensive, and indignant.⠀
Every day we can find a million and one reasons to feel discouraged, or incompetent, or vulnerable, or stressed out, all things that hurt when we hold them inside like a tight fist we refuse to unclench. And yet we do it anyway.⠀
Until we decide to STOP 🛑✋⠀
You can’t always control the way you instinctively feel about things that happen in your life. You can’t pretend you don’t hurt and just smile to make everything go away. But you can choose at any time to feel what you need to feel and then change it into something else.⠀
Take all that energy and put it into the change you want to create.⠀
Use your discontent to take one small step that could make your life more fulfilling.⠀
Decide to stop hurting yourself rehashing the past, and relate to the humanity in the person who wronged you.⠀
The first step toward feeling good is simply deciding not to feel bad. Simply choosing to let go.⠀
you guys ... I should probably tell you that I’m gonna be a barista at Starbucks now!!! (it’s on-call/part-time) but I got a job for the meantime! I can’t wait to learn about coffee and smell coffee everyday. something that really brings me that hygge vibe is a hot spiced latte and cute coffee mugs and teacups ☆
I start orientation when I get back from Washington! ahhh, Washington is only 2 days away! I’ll be flying into Portland and driving up to southern Washington where I’m staying, but I get to explore Portland and see Powell’s *gasp* new and used bookstore @powellsbooks 🙀😻 it’s the largest bookstore in the country!
