Beating trout heart!!
This isn’t a human fetal heart beating, but rather it is a great example of how all hearts function!
Look at that heart beating peacefully on its own!
That's a classic presentation of cardiac automaticity, which is the property of a specialized cardiac cells called pacemakers to generate spontaneous electrical impulse.
Cells normally capable of generating an impulse and maintaining a heart rate commensurate with the body’s need are the pacemaker cells in the sinus node and AV node among others, which fire at regular intervals and leads to the beat.
The sinus node is located at the intersection of the superior vena cava and the right atrium laterally. While the sinus node cells have an intrinsic automaticity of their own, they are influenced by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The former increases the heart rate during exertion or when the sympathetic tone is high while the latter slows the heart rate.
So as you might guess, the cardiac action potential and regulatory mechanisms lies within the heart itself and depends on these intrinsic nodes rather than the CNS.
Cardiac cells with automaticity displaying the fastest rate take over pacemaker cells with slower rates. The sinus node has the fastest intrinsic rate, other cells capable of generating a rhythm (automaticity) are termed latent pacemakers. They can take over pacing the heart if the sinus node becomes dysfunctional (sick sinus syndrome).
Furthermore, in a developing fetus, the myocardium begins to contract rhythmically by 3 weeks after conception, initiated from these spontaneously depolarizing myocardial pacemaker cells.

Anguish and pain of the heart; distress usually as a result of difficulty or sadness in a relationship. Felt as a crushing or burning physical sensation in the chest.
Most if not all people eventually experience heartache in their lives. This emotion is difficult to remedy because the heart is such a powerful organ. It needs love, however so many of us either have caused it in others intentionally or not and then experience it themselves. Due to loss, rejection, disconnection or other circumstances.
What’s important to know is that love is the greatest power in the universe. Inspiring us to feel and express compassion for others going through heartache. We are drawn to support others from our core, to help them heal being holding secure space for release, processing and completion. This re-inspires faith in others, that we can find the strength to love again. Even though we can be hurt again, rest assured love will be the energy to bring us back.
So do not remain in heartache too long, find support, find healing, re-discover the power of love in the many ways it expresses. Have courage to love again because with 7+ billion people on earth alone, you are bound to find someone that you can entrust your heart to. If you can’t find that in others fast enough for your liking... Know that the love you yearn for doesn’t have to be from a human. Animals, guides, past loved ones and angels are their to comfort you at your request.
In the stillness of your heart, in prayer, meditation, music, mantra’s and nature.
Find oneness with the creator and the love that is there to be offered is infinitely more potent than the love you seek from one individual person.
All you need is love.
I ran some tough hills from big bear lake 14 miles which tested the heart within me and I enjoyed that because the challenges bring out the best in us, but my first medal means the most because even with a torn bicep I didn't quit and its where I learned it wasn't what was on the outside but within that mattered most. Some stare in mirrors but me I'm trying to climb mountains. #noquit. #spartan#heart#hustle
