Here’s looking at you Parivrtta Trikonasana! 🤦🏼‍♀️😅🤷🏼‍♀️ The problem I find with free flow is that I don’t work on the things that feel uncomfortable and challenging enough. As much as yoga is about feeling into the body and doing what feels good, it’s also an amazing way to look deeper when you find things that don’t feel as great, or postures that you have resistance towards.   • Little body/life update!♥️ - These last few months have been tough on me both mentally and physically. Body image has been an issue my entire life and it’s something I’ve been struggling with lately, more so than usual. I’ve been dealing with stress on a whole new level due to some major life changes... Which in turn has forced my anxiety to skyrocket.... and I dunno about you guys but when my anxiety is high it messes with my appetite making it extremely hard for me to eat. This on top of having to take a month off training legs due to a knee injury, has caused me to lose 10lbs. For those of you that have seen my body transformation, you know that the reason I got into fitness is to gain weight and I worked my ass off for years to do it. So you could imagine how depressed I’ve been to see the number on the scale dropping. You could say my body image took a major hit. All those years of hard work seemed to just go down the drain in my mind and I’ve been so scared to open up about it... This is because when working with social media it’s hard to be vulnerable... it’s hard to admit when you’re going through hardships because you want people to feel inspired by you... But what I needed to remind myself is people find hope in your lows because everyone has them... THIS IS A JOURNEY, not a faultless straight line to victory... There will be ups and downs and you have to remember that.   • Pamiętam dokładnie czas i miejsce w którym zaczęłam 🤔 Był to pierwszy rok studiów w wynajętym pokoju o powierzchni ok 9-ciu m2 😱 Musiałam składać kanapę na której spałam i stawiać na nią stolik przy którym się uczyłam 🙈 Stojąc opierałam się o szafę kiedy chciałam wykonać wymachy nogą, a brzuszki były możliwe tylko z nogami na kanapie. Nie było szans na położenie i wyciągnięcie się na podłodze 😕 Mimo to nie poddawałam się i robiłam swoje! 🔥💦 Dlatego jeśli chcesz coś zmienić najpierw musisz zacząć od zmiany w swojej głowie 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Najlepsze buty strój czy mata oraz całe mnóstwo miejsca nic nie dadzą jeśli Ty cały czas będziesz szukać powodów, dla których nie możesz tego zrobić i odkładasz to na jutro 🙄🙄🙄 Pamiętaj!   • 2009 vs 2019. Someone took my pizza and replaced it with a baby. 🧐 . . Real talk tho. In 2009 I had just started at USC’s Molecular Biology PhD program. I was energetic and book smart, but naive about life, not business-minded, was in a blindingly toxic relationship, and hadn’t quite grown up. . . I experienced many ups and downs and got through my downs by partying, drinking and going out.. getting into fights, taking out my frustrations on those around me, and not always being there for my friends when I should’ve been. If I could turn back time, I would’ve made wiser decisions. . . I had endured some extreme lows and hard times - those who are close to me know exactly what I mean - at the same time, I often reflect on those lows to appreciate what I have now. . . But during those years I also had some extreme highs. One of those great memories was being a part of the Nike She Runs LA Crew.. modeling and traveling around the nation to run marathons with other girls on the crew, who some now are very dear friends of mine. I owe the true start of my fitness journey to Nike. . . Fast forward 10 years later and I am a COMPLETELY different person. I am a supportive wife, loving mother, diligent medical writer, successful entrepreneur, understanding daughter, caring sister, reliable friend, encouraging boss, positive influence in my community - an overall better version of myself. . . I surround myself with people who inspire me, strive to be like the people I admire, and thrive by growing as an individual and giving back any way I can. . . Looking back at this photo makes me realize how far I’ve come and how much I’ve matured.   • 10 ВЕЩЕЙ, КОТОРЫЕ НУЖНО ПОМНИТЬ ПРЕЖДЕ, ЧЕМ ВЫ РЕШИЛИ НАЧАТЬ ТРЕНИРОВАТЬСЯ На заметку! 1.Тренироваться нужно не менее 3х раз в неделю. Тот, кто обещает вам похудение после одного сеанса йоги (или другой тренировки) злостно над вами шутит. МИНИМУМ 3 РАЗА! 2. Придется питаться правильно. Это не значит мало и невкусно. ЭТО ЗНАЧИТ ПРАВИЛЬНО И СБАЛАНСИРОВАНО. А можно продолжать наяривать километры на беговой дорожке безрезультатно. 3. Правильная и полезная еда стоит дорого. Это нормально, что свежее мясо дороже сосисок, а цветная капуста дороже, чем пакет хлопьев. 4. Если вы всю жизнь ели неправильно, то не ждите быстрых результатов. И легкого и безболезненного перехода на абсолютно правильный тип питания тоже не ждите. Это требует времени и усилий. 5. Для быстрых результатов нужны качественные витамины. 90% всех витаминов - это либо подделка, либо низкокачественный продукт. Да, хорошие витамины стоят дорого. Но вы ведь хотите результат быстрее? 6. Правильный режим дня-залог эффективных тренировок. Если вы ковыряете в носу большую часть дня, а потом ничего не успеваете, а потом тренируетесь до изнеможения, а потом на сон у вас только 4 часа, то опять же..результаты будут, но очень не скоро. Если вы решили заняться своим здоровьем, так расставляйте приоритеты. 7. Планирование. Планируйте свои тренировки, приготовьте заранее еду, выкиньте вкусности из шкафа. Если вы не можете спланировать свой день, то что уж говорить о результатах. 8. Правильный настрой- самое важное на начальном этапе. Если вы четко понимаете, ЗАЧЕМ вы тренируетесь, то уже не свернете с намеченного пути. Если цель расплывчата, как сахар в стакане, то через месяц тренировки будут заброшены. 9. Поддержка. Всегда вокруг будут люди, которые будут тянуть вас вниз и говорить,что то, что вы делаете это фигня. Не слушайте. Это ваша цель. Ищите единомышленников. 10. Через терни к звездам. Нельзя тренироваться "на поддержание". Всегда нужно добиваться новых результатов, иначе вы скатываетесь вниз.
