  • Ok let’s talk about something I’ve almost never talked about on here. ⠀ ⠀ Love life. It is hard to give advices in this area because I feel like there is no « right » or « wrong ». That being said, there are 3 pitfalls I’d like to talk about and that I wish someone would have told me before : ☘️ don’t compare to other couples. Every story is different. No-fuss couples are not necessarily happier or you don’t know the whole story; focus on yours, it is what matters ! 🍀 making the mistake to stay with someone who do not deserve you. The worst is when you do not realize it straight away. But it is someone that feels the need to belittle you in order to feel better; that does not make you feel beautiful; that does not make you feel good, quite simply ! ☘️ believing we are worth nothing if we’re single. It is not a man or a woman that makes you worth; it is who YOU are, whether you are dating or not !! Here are the main I had in head; but feel free to add some if you think about others ! ________________________________________ Ok parlons d’un sujet dont je ne presque jamais ici. ⠀ ⠀ Les amours. C’est difficile de donner des conseils dans ce domaine car je trouve qu’il n’y a pas de « vrai » ou de « faux ». Cela dit, il y a 3 écueils dont j’aimerais vous parler et dont j’aurais aimé qu’on me parle avant : 🍀 ne pas se comparer aux autres couples. Chaque histoire est différente. Des couples qui paraissent sans histoire ne sont pas forcément plus heureux; et l’important, c’est vous deux, pas les autres ! 🍀 faire l’erreur de rester avec quelqu’un qui ne vous mérite pas. Le pire, c’est quand on ne s’en rend pas compte tout de suite. Mais c’est être avec quelqu’un qui vous rabaisse pour se sentir mieux, qui ne vous fait pas sentir belle, qui ne vous fait pas sentir bien, tout simplement ! ☘️ croire que l’on ne vaut rien quand on est célibataire. Ce n’est pas un homme/une femme qui détermine votre valeur, c’est qui VOUS êtes, pas si vous êtes accompagné(e) ou non !!   • Since I took some time off and I started at a new gym I found some of my old gym anxiety creepin back in so I thought I would share a few of my tips on how to get over it: - 1️⃣Find a pal to go with you and workout with them. Use them as a human shield from all the awkwardness. 2️⃣Put on an outfit that makes ya feel cute and comfortable. 3️⃣Have a workout/ muscle group in mind before you go so you don’t feel like you’re just wandering around like you’ve never seen a gym before. 4️⃣Create a gym jam playlist that pumps you up and get in your own head and try not to focus on anyone else but yourself. 5️⃣Figure out where the bathroom is ASAP Incase ya just can’t handle it and need to go hide for a lil. LOL not kidding I did this in the beginning. - Try to remember that people probably aren’t paying attention to you anyways and that everyone is there with a common goal to better themselves.

  • That’s really a 😞 cuz I’m listenin’ to my boo lift weights upstairs and I can’t join..... SO I’m cookin instead. I’ve been sick as hell all week but I STILL pushed play for the first two days. Yesterday was a rest day so I was hoping one day would be enough to give me juice. I Feel SO much better but I know I should rest. It just sucks. Cuz I seriously LOVE working out. It gives me energy. It makes me feel good. Gives me confidence & strength. Calms my mind. It empowers me. But hey I’m on this new journey where I’m learning to LISTEN to my body and slow down a little more often. So here I go....back to dinner so we can start our family game night 🙌🏻💜

If you’re a woman, I can GUARANTEE you that if you haven’t said it to yourself (I bet you have), that you’ve heard it from someone else. . Maybe you didn’t exactly *say* that, but you still let thoughts creep in when looking at someone else’s picture or someone at a bar, or mall, or beach. . And social media has been making it worse, with photos upon photos of other people at our fingertips! . I’m happy to see so many body positive images and women who are flaunting themselves whatever shape or size. But the photoshopping. Omg the photoshopping. . Trust me, I am ALL FOR women showing off themselves however they want in whatever clothes they want - but beware. We used to only see photoshopped images on magazine covers… then it was online articles, now it’s all. over. social. media. . I guess my point is this - we all need to work on stopping wishing we were something other than we are, and to stop letting unrealistic versions (literally, the people in the photoshopped photos literally don’t exist) let us feel like WE are somehow not valued enough because of it. . And I challenge you this: if an account you follow is in some way making you feel worse about yourself, mute them or unfollow them. If someone motivates you because of their drive and passion, or maybe you just like to look at them - GREAT!   • Let them play! I coach kids multiple times a week and my main focus when working with kids is simple “Make it FUN!” 1) Fun 2) learn something new 3) be active. Showing children that being physically active isn’t a chore or a punishment, it’s about personal development and appreciating what we have and what our bodies can do. If you have kids show them that you workout to be better, not as a punishment for eating cake.

  • Feeling sentimental as it’s the last day of our #fundationsofyoga. I’m thinking this might be a see you later vs goodbye since it’s been such a well received challenge. Our feed is so full of amazing strength, grace, honesty, effort, and humor! We are grateful 🙏🏼. . I chose to go with the #splits because back in the day, before pressing and dramatic poses in glorious places was the rage, many students looked to #hanumanasana as THE pose of goals. The story of the mighty leap of Lord Hanuman 🐒 can be found in the Ramayana within the Maharabata. Honestly learning to split is easier than reading them to many 🤣. It’s a pose that represents Bhakti, service, love, and loyalty. . 🐒First I went with an angular variation. I can’t stress enough that you should presssss your front foot actively to help the integrity of your hamstrings. Please keep a micro bend of your knees as well as laying in the joints aren’t a sustainable action! . 🐒Slide to see a fun floating split and a twisted variation. By tucking your back toes under you can help square your hips more but twisting will do that as well quite a bit! . I added a standing split at the wall that can help one deepen the stretch but for fun hugged my power femur into the socket to float on the wall. See yesterday....it’s all about looking taller 😉 . 🐒a great prep is ardha hanumanasana or half splits. I like to use blocks for overall lateral plus spinal lengths as well as hamstring stretching. I swear by low lunges because the hip flexors are just as key as hamstrings!! . Förvirrad, rädd och skrämd av att vara förföljd utan att veta varför dom är ute efter mig. Vad har jag gjort? Varför är dom efter mig? Är det bara pågrund av att jag är mörk? Andas in, andas ut, halsen bränner till av kylan som väller in och mina lungor fylls med den isande luften. Svårt att andas, svårt att fokusera. Springer över en bro, mina fotsteg dånar som åska under mina fötter. Svänger vänster sen höger och vänster igen innan jag kastar mig in i en trappuppgång. Gömmer mig i mörkret och hjärtat bankar så hårt så att väggen skakar. Skakar, själver av förvirring och skräck. Livrädd för att de ska hitta mig här i mörkret så kryper in ännu längre i mörkret. Sitter helt tyst, hör ljud närma sig, hör hur de vrålar precis utanför. Blundar, ber till högre makter att de inte ska öppna dörren. Tiden går och ljuden försvinner. Reser mig upp, försiktigt öppnar jag dörren och tittar ut.
