This afternoon Ava said something that totally broke my heart — I was working on my computer and she was playing on her own since I told her I couldn’t play with her right now. She walks over to me and says, “Come to my room and play with me, mama? Make me so so happy!” 😭
You’d better bet I closed that laptop, went straight to her room and we played in her castle, put band aids all over each other, ate ice cream until our bellies hurt, played hide and seek with Baxter (yes, he actually seeks) at least 134 times in the same spot behind her rocking chair, and giggled and smiled for the rest of the day with no computer in sight. My goodness I thought this work from home gig would get easier as she got older but I was so so wrong. I’m so lucky to have a career I love and to be home with her every single day of her life but her not understanding why I have to work just makes it so hard when all she wants is her mama all day long! Momming is hard but I’m so lucky to have a daughter who loves me enough to make these moments hard on me ♡ So worth it.
Anyhow (and totally unrelated), I’ve got a round up of 37 mommy and me beanies over on the blog (boy beanies included!) and you’d better bet these adorable @kane.and.owl beanies are linked over there too!
Throw back Thursday in the best kinda way- baby moose (inspired by @stylemavendecor and Finn)
Im not kidding when I say I regularly scroll through his baby pics and get lost for extended periods of time in his cute puppy ness. This little guy is our everything ❤️

My face when mommy says I’m a good girl but I don’t see any treats in her hand 🤔🤔😅
Meet Scooter (you may remember him from our previous post) and his brother Chewie. Both boys were surrendered to us at around 5 weeks old, the two were both partially disabled and things weren’t looking the best for their future. With vets weighing in that they would never be able to be toilet trained due to their lack of nerve endings, would likely never be able to properly walk and would likely die at a young age, the crew here at Companion Petz were feeling totally helpless on what to do. Quality of life was still there though and they had truly won over our hearts, we simply couldn’t give up on them without putting in a real fight! Two of our caring staff members took the boys home and gave them the patience, love and support they needed. Now one year later both boys are walking, jumping, climbing, using a litter box (mostly) and warming the hearts of those around them. Both staff members are now proud fur mums and are so extremely thankful to the Sheppard family for their financial and emotional support and patience in the kittens’ journey and to every member of our program that allows us to give all our animals a second chance at life.
Tonight we went to @henryandrumble and Oliver got his first @ruffwear harness. It’s still got a little wiggle room to grow into, but he’s been growing like a weed lately so it shouldn’t take long. We also got toys and plenty of love. 🐾
About an ordinary afternoon🥤
give us extra cheese double fried fries and no one will get hurt!🍟🧸

Who’s a good boy?🐺♥️
