  • - ‘Instagram’s just a highlight reel!’ . Good. . Show me you at your absolute best. Show me you at 100%. Let me see your ideal self. . I can go out into the world for the rest. . Sometimes, I just want to see the best of people, not to pressure myself, not to riddle myself with insecurities and envy and bitterness, but to remind myself that we’re all capable, even if only for the length of time it takes for a camera shutter to snap closed, of some pretty cool stuff. . I know this is contrary to popular opinion, but I genuinely find the concept of telling everyone ‘don’t believe everything you see!’ ‘it’s all fake!’ ‘It’s all photoshopped!’ ‘That’s from last year!’ to be so profoundly negative. . Where’s the good in the world if you view everything through that misery tinted lens? I’m a realist. I am. I get up early every morning, spend all day in the cold and go to bed late at night, I get wet, I get dirty, I get hurt, I get stressed. It would be SO easy for me to begrudge people, I’ve done it- ‘Oh easy for them to say all they do is a few PT’s in a warm gym and go for coffees!’ ‘I’d be able to do that if I had XYZ’ ‘They don’t deserve that!’ . It doesn’t stop, there will always be something. Someone. And this platform is so frighteningly new, that we’re all still just finding our feet. Maybe, painting broad strokes and calling bullshit every time you see something that elicits a pang of envy, isn’t a good idea? What if this platform never changes? Can we just go on like that forever? Are we treating external symptoms, rather than addressing the root cause? . Centre your sense of self worth. Find value in yourself. Look at what you HAVE because the list of stuff you don’t have, stretches on forever, and that’s a tough ride to get stuck on. . Maybe a better solution is to just create our own highlight reel and reconcile with the fact that that’s all everyone else is doing, and that’s actually... okay, as long as we’re all on the same page? . I don’t know. I just build stuff, help people get fitter and throw stuff around. I just hate the idea that we’d all rather cast bitter aspersions at one another, rather than celebrate the small victories. . Or hit unfollow.

I always want to be the best in everything. 👀 But I should not have those expectations, because that’s something I’ll never achieve. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You need to work your weaknesses, but don’t let them bring you down. 👌🏼 Always be proud of progression, no matter how small the step is. 👣 . Make one big goal, but also set small targets. That’s the way you stay motivated. 💪🏼 . What’s your ‘small goal? 🙉

  • #10yearchallenge Heavier on the left, 100% bulk mode, with an endurance limited to: climbing 3 flight of stairs / running 50 meters / sparring for 30 sec. I finally discovered cardio and conditionning and that I had enough of that bulk life 😏 Au moins 5-6kgs plus lourd sur la photo de gauche, full prise de masse, j'liftais comme un gorille, avec un cardio se limitant à: monter 3 étages max/50m en course/30 secondes en sparring. Et j'ai finalement découvert le cardio et le conditionnement physique, et qu'il fallait mettre un terme à cette PDM 😏

  • Das Leben ist wie eine Wundertüte... Und auch jetzt ist schon wieder etwas Neues „passiert“. Wie ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt, habe ich im Herbst letzten Jahres mit einem eigenen Coach angefangen zu trainieren. Neben comptrain also auch meinen individuellen Trainingsplan gehabt. Kurz gesagt: ich war super zufrieden jedoch durch ein paar Komplikationen, suche ich mir nun einen neuen Coach an meiner Seite. Manchmal birgt das Leben Veränderungen, mit denen man nicht rechnet, aber ich freue mich auf die nächste Zeit und bin super gespannt, wo mich mein Weg hinführen wird. Wenn sich eine Tür schließt, öffnet sich eine andere 😍 ... jetzt erst recht!   • Hi! So let's begin with the GOAL, why #ironman? I was always an athlete, and between my many aspirations in life I told myself one day I'd complete a Full Ironman. Years went by and now I'm "rescuing" this old objective to become a motivator towards my weight loss main goal. > I began training for the #ironman703 in the beginning of 2018, but we were surprised by an amazing working opportunity and decided to leave our home country mid year. Got back on track July time frame, and while still overweight (270lb) I managed to complete my first Sprint Triathlon in October (profile picture). > Like many other times, after I completed the race, things went south, got sidetracked, forgot about the main goal, had several episodes of binge eating, quit dieting, got a flu and became sick, reduced training volume traveled for vacation and January 2nd 2019 when I finally woke up, weighed myself and had put astonishing 22lb in less than 2 months, once again I was re initiating everything again! > Bottom line, this is what works for me, signing up for some race, competition, event (BOLD GOALS) so I can always have a meaning to keep up with training, dieting and pursuing the objectives, hence, obese_to_ironman. > #triathlon #ironmantraining #swimbikerun #ironmantri #triathlete #trilife #triathlontraining #running #cycling #swim #bike #runner #swimming #triathletes #fitness #cyclinglife #k #strava #garmin #marathon #weightlossjourney #weightloss #crossfit #gym #nopainnogain #itstartswithfood

I catch cleans SUPER weird because my *expletive* knobby collarbone is always bruised. Also should probably wear my oly shoes every time I decide to go heavy with these...but at least the eat more food plan is paying off strength wise! . Perpetually inspired by @taymstephens and the @allsouthbarbell team when it comes to these lifts. I'm just 3 months in to this stuff, and love every minute of it!   • So hey, block pulls were exciting tonight. Worked my way up to a top single at 335lbs! 1st vid is 315, 2nd is 335lbs. I ramped on the 2nd, but for 1 this is the most weight I have ever held in my hands, and 2 it's a block pull. My hands are sore af. Sooo worth it! . . . **For those unaware of what my Coach and husband are doing, they are only there in case I fall back or black out. They did not help me pull from the blocks at all**
