When we lived in Jaco a few years ago, we would always drive past the sign that said "Bejuco". We finally visited before we left Jaco and I'm so glad we did! It is an absolute paradise for anyone who doesn't want to be in a touristy beach. We only saw 2 local families there, their kids were playing futbol and playing in the sand and no tourists. We had to take out our drone to snap some footage of the beach, right at golden hour 😍
I know I say it over and over again but maybe its because lately I've been hearing that people don't like Costa Rica because its too touristy. I mean, yes definitely there are touristy beaches and towns (and it is expensive here) but whenever I see photos of beaches in like Europe with thousands of people I don't think that Costa Rica is that touristy. And seriously, all you have to do is explore a bit because there are so many undeveloped, hidden and not touristy places here. However, the reality is that Costa Rica thrives, depends and lives off of tourism, so they do need to set up facilities and places specifically for tourists. So there is something for everyone here, whether you want a five star all inclusive resort or a small hut on the beach. We got it all! 😁
The main Waterfall of the Dos Novillos River is also hidden among a small set of waterfalls. A paradisiacal and accessible place. Very far below from the sets of the Dos Novillos Waterfalls that I published a few days ago.
