The hike to this spot was super sketchy, especially in the dark, but it was so, so worth it 💜✨🌊
This was a practice shot that I ended up really liking. I love that I captured the Andromeda Galaxy in it 😍
Shooting at this location was very hard because my space was limited. The ocean waves were big and scary, so I stayed close to the cliff which took up a lot of the sky. This long exposure makes them look small and gentle, but they were not lol There also was no beach to stand on, so I had to balance on big rocks. I did a lot of climbing and sliding around to get these shots. Super grateful I didn’t break a nail 💅🏼 or permanently ruin a pair of @lululemon yoga pants 🙏🏼✨
brumous (adj.) [english] of gray skies and winter days; filled with heavy clouds or fog; relating to winter or cold, sunless weather.
Truth be told: I get more sun in Denver than when I lived in Santa Cruz. But it felt oh so good to wrap myself in the thick, coastal fog last week. I always tell people I’m solar powered: I naturally rise with the sun (rarely set an alarm anymore), and begin to wilt when that sun goes down. Yet, what I appreciate about the gray days is the rawness, the silence, and the way colors actually become clearer.
I once read, “the color of truth is gray” (Andre Gide).
That resonates. I find the gray to be honest, real, and provides the best light 🌫
Just found this gem! It’s a picture from our fall trip up the California Coast. 🦞
Bodega Bay for Breakfast. This was a little place off the side of the road with a couple picnic tables in the parking lot and lots of fresh seafood. ⚓️
Fishing boats pull up across the street. Looked like they were cooking for a fleet! .
I’m not much of a seafood lover, but the clam chowder out a big smile on Trent’s face!
