#swatchmeplay WEEK 3!
This week's random colors: Ranger's Cool Peri, Copic YR68 Orange, and Copic B45 Smokey Blue.
Unfortunately I don't own any of those colors so instead I used: Ranger's Sunset Orange, Copic B97 Night Blue, and Copic V04 Lilac.
The color selection was challenging and I honestly had a hard time. But I think I finally got it right by blending the orange with the blue and misting it with the light purple dots.
Also... my external flash for my camera is not working 😭😫 So I am having to resort to taking pictures with my phone until I can get it replaced... So if the quality looks different, that's why.
“You all live by yourselves, no matter how crowded you may think that you are in a room full of people, you are still by yourself, and you have to live with that self forever and ever and ever and ever.” - Charles Manson (1934-2017). In 1969, the cult known as the 'Manson Family' , under the manipulative control of Charles, executed a grisly
multiple murder of then-pregnant Hollywood starlet Shanon Tate and others.
Charles Manson has been the subject of much intrigue ever since - a pop culture icon who could 'get inside your head' with his unusually rich intellect.
As he vividly puts it when faced with a possible death sentence - "I have ate out of your garbage cans to stay out of jail. I have wore your second-hand clothes…I have done my best to get along in your world and now you want to kill me, and I look at you, and then I say to myself, You want to kill me? Ha! I’m already dead, have been all my life. I’ve spent twenty-three years in tombs that you built!" #sketch#sketchbook#markersketch#markerart#brustro#artdaily#portraitdrawing#portrait_ig#portrait#personality#charactersketch#inkart#manson#deathrow#cult#grayscale#duotone#inframe#instaart#artofinstagram#potd
As a part of the @japonismes2018, Maison de la culture du Japon a Paris is hosting a retrospective exhibition of Tsuguharu Foujita. The exhibition covers masterpieces, from the 1910s when he first travelled to Paris to 1950s when he became French and Christian, to discover the subject and stylistic development of the artist. It is a small exhibition; however, organised very well and included rich contents. In fact, it could be seen as the travelling exhibition of “Foujita” at the TokyoMetropolitan Art Museum that took place last year in Japan. It is worth visiting!
