Entering the obedience ring is always something that gives me nerves thinking about, but when it comes down to it we just go in and have fun. Training is a great way for Lennon and I to build our relationship, improve our communication skills, and tire this working dog out! Here we are at 2018 Nationals in the Rally Intermediate ring. Can you tell he has been paid a lot for a sit in heel? 😂 Look how happy he is about it! I am excited for all the rings we will enter together in our future!
Their faces say it all! Kota is such a derpy, funny big sister who occasionally beats up on her brother. And Denver, by no surprise, is a typical little brother with a lot of sass and will always try to steal his sister’s toy. #siblinglove#siblingrivalry
This guy always gets a treat! Could you resist this face?
These are a bit graphic.
But seriously, Sitka is the sweetest boy. He lets me change his dressing and wash his wound every day with out so much as a snap, growl, or wimper. He just lies down and lets me tend to him. And its not slowed his running, jumping, or movement at all.
From the rescue:
One Dog Arizona has taken in dozens of medical cases each and every year. From mammary tumors, to eye surgeries and everything in between.
When we took this sweet boy into rescue, we were fully aware that he had been badly injured last year, when he was hit by a car. We also knew that he had a bad wound that still hasn’t healed and that he’d need further medical attention.
Today, he received that specialized care at Animal Medical Center of Chandler. His wound was shaved, old staples were taken out(hard to believe they were in his leg that long), he received his first laser treatment and a raw honey bandage was applied.
We’ve named this amazingly sweet and tolerant boy Sitka. He will be going back to the vet 2-3 times a week for continued laser therapy. It’s amazing how it promotes healing. and we are confident that we can get him ready for a forever and ever family soon.
One of Bounders fav things at camp was this chair! As he got older...well over the young wild puppy days when he preferred dogs to people he’d often claim this chair as his. At his drop offs he would jump right up and hang there for a bit. Many other dogs loved the chair like Little Lily but he used it way more! It’s way overdo for a replacement but for now I think I’ll just keep the old chair! And if I ever do change it out it will always be Bounders Spot!!! I have other little memorials around camp & the property I guess I always kept to myself. One day maybe I’ll take pics and post but for now sharing this one as you see it right when ya walk in!
