Happy Birthday to the late great #MartinLutherKingJr I wonder how he would feel if he was still with us today. We need more real leaders like him today. He fought and sacrificed his own life for equality, justice for all. I can go on and on! Think about this quote from one of his speeches: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that”.

Me looking at the tv watching this “Surviving R-Kelly”. My head hurts I am so disgusted. My sisters, we have got to know how beautiful and valuable we are as black woman! We matter and we must know that. Regardless of what anyone thinks, what anyone says we have to value ourselves and we have to stop selling ourselves short for a purse, a pair shoes or a possibility. We have to value our mind, and body. We have to stop looking for happiness in a man and find Joy from within. My sisters, we have to love us with everything we have inside of us. It all starts with us LOVING OURSELVES ENOUGH TO WALK AWAY FROM ANY AND ALL Toxic situations. No matter what we’re all we have . Stay in the light stay positive don’t let this world beat u down. God knows best!!

As I sit here and watch this video I have so many emotions running through my mind, body and soul. I am mad as hell!!! First let me say #YasmineJames I am so proud of you for defending yourself the way that you did against this Savage. What you showed is that we as women especially women of color have to learn self defense. I understand you have boxing back round which is why I see you giving this racist coward this right uppercut and round away girl right hand to the face👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾. My sisters, go get self defense classes, boxing classes, or learn to use a weapon. We are under attack from racist white men and women. As well as some of our cowardly black men who feel empowered when they put their hands on women. Now, let me elaborate on this situation that has me so angry. This baby is at work and this as whole comes to her place of employment demanding a damn “straw” and puts his hands on this baby. I am sure he supports that orange 🍊 in DC which is why these racists feel empowered to act this way. Answer me this, why are there so many damn men (black men) standing around and did absolutely nothing!!! Brothers we have to do better in protecting women unless you are scared🤔🤔. What is wrong with this generation. When J was growing up that would not ever happen. Black men would have beat the breaks out of that man...sorry, not sorry! Why is there someone filming the entire situation and not doing anything. Why did the manager continue to serve the perpetrator??? @mcdonalds is this part of your training to allow your team members to be physically attacked and then you continue to serve the person who did the attacking? It’s bad enough you under pay your employees, then you do nothing to support them. Why is #YasmineJames fired and your manager isn’t? Why did the young lady have to call 911...did you not want this to go viral to the public? #mcdonalds why are you still trying to “gather more information”. Okay, As a black women this is just sad because we get killed for traffic violations, we get profiled for shopping, we get assaulted in elevators I can keep going. Ladies we have to take care of us!!
